Surface 1 Sport Coating Base
Description
Surface 1 One-Coat Color is a 100% acrylic coating for tennis, pickleball, basketball, multi-purpose courts and recreational areas. Surface 1 One-Coat Color is fortified with sand to provide a safe, non-slip surface. Our revolutionary formula provides superior hiding and durability with only one coat.
Surface Preparation
Surface must be clean and free from loose materials such as dust, dirt, debris. Be sure to remove moss, mold, and any other surface growth before coating. New asphalt or concrete must cure a minimum of 30 days prior to application.
Mixing
Stir material thoroughly before using. Do not dilute. A drill (1 to 1 ½” H.P.) and paddle mixer is recommended to ensure complete mixing of product.

Apply Surface 1 One-Coat Color with a 3/4” nap roller or soft rubber squeegee (50-60 durometer recommended for squeegee rubber softness). Although Surface 1 is a “One-Coat” product, multiple coats may be applied to fill surface voids and provide a longer-wearing surface.
Limitations
Temperature must be 50˚F during application and for at least 24 hours after. Do not apply when rain is imminent within 24 hours. Allow each coat to dry completely before applying additional coats or lines. Drying time is dependent on temperature, shade, humidity, etc. (1 to 4 hours of dry time per coat can be expected).
Coverage
1 gallon will cover approximately 60-75 square feet, depending on pavement porosity (300-375 square feet per 5-gallon pail). 5 gallons will cover approximately 300-375 square feet, depending on pavement porosity (60-75 square feet per gallon).
Clean Up
Use water for cleanup before material dries.
